Mexico Achieves Its Best Performance Ever at the Central American Games
The national team won 407 medals and secured its third consecutive Central American championship. “They fill all of Mexico with pride,” said President Claudia Sheinbaum. Each medal will now be rewarded, and in 2027, scholarships will increase by at least 10%. “There will be no shortage of funding,” the President declared.

Sports Foster Discipline, Confidence, and Pride
From school to elite competition, sports transform lives and open doors. “It represents discipline, self-confidence, and collective learning,” the President explained. Furthermore, the champions serve as role models for new generations and are a source of pride for Mexico.

Mexico Aims Higher on the Road to Lima 2027 and Los Angeles 2028
“We must do away with the idea that Mexicans are inferior. We are just like anyone else in the world,” Sheinbaum said. With support and planning, a new generation is set to break the Olympic record at Los Angeles 2028.

Housing for Well-being is Making Strong Progress
In Yucatán, 66% of the administration’s six-year goal of 72,770 homes has been achieved, and 2026 is expected to close with 91% of Infonavit’s target met. In August, 34,300 people received homes nationwide, making access to decent housing, home ownership, and shared prosperity a reality.

Mexico Extends a Helping Hand to Colombia
In response to the earthquakes in Colombia, Mexico sent two Air Force carriers with 19.5 metric tons of humanitarian aid and will continue to send food supplies, water, and medicine. In addition, efforts are underway to ensure the safe return of the stranded Mexican youth soccer team.

“Incredible”: The Mexican Peso Remains Strong
Sheinbaum hailed the peso’s strength against the dollar. The current exchange rate is 17.3 pesos to the U.S. dollar. This is good news for the Mexican economy, reflecting the stability and confidence the peso maintains against the dollar.
