Mexicans gathered at the Chamber of Deputies in Mexico City to show support for a bill to amend Articles 25, 27, and 28 of the Mexican Constitution regarding the energy sector, to make substantially progressive reforms to the sector. While the bill did not pass owing to supermajority requirements, the Chamber of Deputies were able to amend the Mining Law concerning the exploitation of lithium, which intended for the exploration, exploitation, and use of such mineral to be considered a public use activity and, therefore, exclusively for the Mexican State through a public agency that will be created for such purposes.
