In September, delegates from the Frente Auténtico del Trabajo and the National Miners’ Union of Mexico traveled to Canada to meet with local unions to strengthen their ties and demand an active role in the renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement.
A protest Friday afternoon drew crowds to the israeli embassy in the Lomas de Chapultepec neighbourhood of Mexico City to demand the release of the six Mexicans.
Supported by students, collectives, and social organizations in a march of thousands in Mexico City, members of Committee 68 reiterated their demand for justice and reparations.
“They must be repatriated immediately,” the Mexican President said of the six Mexicans participating in the Global Sumud Flotilla, which was intercepted yesterday en route to Gaza.
Families say the Mexicans were not in israeli territory, but international waters and even if close to Gaza, “that strip of sea belongs to Gaza, not israel.”
“Humanitarian aid is not a crime, which is why I join the urgent demand for the immediate and unconditional release of all activists,” the Justice posted.
Under pressure, ISIC will withdraw the israeli artist’s work, remove israel’s name from official advertising and officially condemned the genocide in Gaza.
Protests against the body prevented its installation and the visit of israeli officials to the Chamber of Deputies. “I could never be part of a group that supports a state internationally accused of committing serious violations against the Palestinian people.”
The mobilization will begin at 4:00 PM in the Plaza of the Three Cultures in Tlatelolco in Mexico City.
