House-to-House Healthcare Launches in Tlaxcala

Apetatitlán, Tlaxcala. From the Tlaxcala General Hospital, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo affirmed this Saturday that the House-to-House Health program demonstrates that the Mexican government is caring for its population, especially the most vulnerable sectors such as the elderly and people with disabilities.
Accompanied by Governor Lorena Cuéllar and members of the federal cabinet, the governor spearheaded the launch of this new home health care program, which will employ 230 healthcare workers in this state and is part of her working tour of the state this Saturday.
“We are experiencing what we call the Fourth Transformation of public life in Mexico. This program is an example of that profound change. It means that we care about people, we care about older adults, who have been the heroes of our country,” Sheinbaum said in her address to medical personnel and beneficiaries of social programs.
She explained that the new program’s fundamental focus is periodic home visits by health brigades to assess the condition of older adults and people with disabilities. With a fully equipped kit, the professionals will be able to take vital signs, provide guidance on nutrition and disease prevention, and, if necessary, contact doctors at a specialized center.
“Salud Casa por Casa is a program of love, protection, and well-being. It will be a symbol of health prevention not only in Mexico, but throughout the world,” the president emphasized. She added that this effort is coordinated with other social programs promoted by the new administration, such as the Women’s Well-being Pension for Mexican women ages 60 to 64, and the project to expand school scholarships to all public elementary education programs.
Sheinbaum asserted that this initiative reflects a profound change in the way we govern. “For many years, governments forgot about the people. Today, the government represents the people of Mexico; there is a government that cares for them, protects them, and is concerned about their well-being. This is the great transformation taking place in Tlaxcala and throughout our country,” she declared.
