National Sovereignty Above All Other Interests
President Claudia Sheinbaum will propose a bill requiring candidates for the presidency, state governors, and the Head of the Mexico City Government to hold only Mexican citizenship or renounce any other. The goal is “for the nation’s interest to take precedence over any other,” she explained.

A Candidacy Launched from Another Country
Regarding the presidential aspirations of former Tamaulipas governor Francisco Garcia Cabeza de Vaca, the President quipped that “it’s very difficult to be a candidate and launch that campaign from another country, isn’t it?”. Cabeza de Vaca lives in Texas.

In response to the deaths of Mexican nationals in ICE custody, the government filed complaints and demanded a full investigation. La Derecha Diario: Lies and Foreign Interference
Sheinbaum revealed that right-wing ideologue Fernando Cerimedo was a partner at La Derecha Diario when he was arrested in Bolivia, despite owner Javier Negre’s denial, and added that the media outlet “has sought to interfere in Mexican politics from abroad.”

Audience Rights, Without Censorship
