PT Rejects Rupture With Morena; “We Will Always Go With the President,” Alberto Anaya Says

Mexico City. With Morena there will be no rupture; “we will always go with the president (Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo), we will always go in coalition,” asserted the leader of the Labor Party (PT), Alberto Anaya.
On his arrival at the capital’s Zócalo, to take part in the president’s last accountability report on her year in office, he stated in a brief interview that everything is going well at the negotiating table on the 2027 electoral process that they maintain with Morena’s leadership.
He said that making public the results of the polls for coordinators of the transformation in the states “is part of an agreed procedure.”
“There will be no rupture?” he was asked.
“Of course not; we have no reason to, we love the president very much, we have to close ranks with her,” he stressed.

“There is not going to be a rupture” with Morena, affirmed this morning the vice coordinator of the Labor Party (PT) caucus in the Mexico City Congress, Miriam Saldaña, who is also a member of the national coordination of that political organization.
She said that the PT coordinating table, which is negotiating to maintain the alliance with Morena, has already informed them that there will be no break. This despite threats by leaders of that party to suspend the alliance due to their disagreement over the selection of the state coordinators of the 4T.
“There is a specialized team for the elections table and I think it is advancing very well. We are definitely in the same project: the 4T, and we must stay together.
“There is not going to be a rupture, there are always these kinds of scrapes in any negotiation, but we have to come to an agreement, because going together is how we are going to make the transformation happen,” she asserted in an interview on her arrival to join the event at which President Claudia Sheinbaum will present her accountability report in the country’s capital.
She stated that the negotiating table has informed PT members about the progress and everything points to the alliance being maintained.
Separately, the spokesperson for the Morena caucus in the Chamber of Deputies, Arturo Ávila, guaranteed that the union of both political organizations will be maintained.
Of course there will be an alliance with the PT and the Green Party. Those of us who are in this project are here for the tasks, not for the posts.

He floated Citlalli Hernández, current president of the Elections Commission of Morena’s leadership, as a possible coordinator of the movement to head the candidacy for the Cuauhtémoc borough, in Mexico City, which is currently governed by the opposition.
