Mexico City. After presenting a civil protection program valid until 2028, authorities in the Cuauhtémoc borough decided to remove the closure seals from the Casa de las Mercedes in the San Rafael neighborhood, which was closed on October 29, after an operation in which the Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office rescued 80 people, including minors and young adults.

The seals were removed on Wednesday night, so this place can continue its operations.
This is despite the fact that the integration of investigation files for rape and human trafficking continues following complaints from residents involving the son of the founder of the children’s home.
The district reported that the suspension was applied as a result of a verification visit in which the complete documentation on the matter was not displayed.
“Within the established legal term, the property’s representative presented and accredited its Internal Civil Protection Program, valid until 2028, so the removal of the seals and the resumption of activities proceeded,” he indicated.
