Alleged Suspect in the Murder of Clara Brugada’s Aides Arrested in Morelos

Mexico City. The investigations into the murder of two aides of the head of government, Clara Brugada, made it possible to locate and arrest in Yautepec, Morelos, Jovany “N”, an alleged member of the criminal cell linked to the attack, the Attorney General’s Office reported.

In a statement, the agency detailed that the capture was the result of the exchange of information and the intelligence work carried out with the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC), and the National Intelligence Center (CNI). During the operation a short firearm, a gram scale, and a bag with doses of drugs were seized from him.

He was subsequently placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (FGR).

The authorities noted that the investigations continue in order to arrest the rest of the people involved in the double homicide and to prevent the case from going unpunished.
