Mexico City. Even though the appointment of federal deputy Graciela Domínguez as interim governor of Sinaloa was not yet formal, though very likely, President Claudia Sheinbaum commented that she is an honest woman, served as the state’s education secretary, and has spent many years fighting for social justice. She mentioned that she does know her, though she did not elaborate further.
I am just finding out that they chose her to be governor. She must be supported in whatever she needs, for the government and people of Sinaloa.

Nevertheless, she stressed that this was a decision of the Congress and not of the president. From what she knows, “she is a woman who has the capacity to carry out the work,” one who conducts herself with integrity and will be important during the electoral process to choose the new governor.
She objected to the people of Sinaloa being stigmatized, since they are very hardworking.
At 50 years old, Graciela Domínguez Nava has a political career spanning approximately 35 years and has held various public offices in Sinaloa, among them secretary of Public Education and Culture of the state government, a responsibility she held before arriving at the Chamber of Deputies.
She holds a degree in Sociology from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (UAS), and her career combines legislative experience, public administration, and party activity.
