Gringo with Apparent CIA ID and Weapons Arrested in Mexico State

In response to a request for assistance, officers from the State of Mexico Security Secretariat and the Atlacomulco Municipal Police arrested a U.S. citizen, likely responsible for the crimes of disturbing public order and carrying firearms for military use only.

Through a call to the national emergency number 9-1-1, personnel from the agency’s C5 responded to a report of an aggressive individual carrying a firearm on Francisca Camargo Street in the Las Fuente neighborhood. State and municipal officers were immediately notified on the ground for assistance.

State troops assigned to the Support and Reaction Force (FAR) group, who were carrying out strategic deployments as part of Operation Argos, were present at the site.

Upon arrival, they observed a man on the balcony of an apartment, wearing a helmet and a green tactical vest, from which a long weapon hung, and holding a knife.

Since he posed an imminent risk to the residents, the police entered and disarmed the suspect, at which point they arrested him. After an inspection, they noticed a wound on his right hand, prompting them to request medical attention from a municipal police ambulance. The foreigner, who goes by the name of James “N,” was taken to a hospital and detained. It should be noted that he was wearing a badge and identification from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

After conducting a search of the detainee’s home, officers located four pistols of various makes and calibers, as well as two Colt 5.56-millimeter long guns, one of them empty; more than 100 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, six magazines for handguns and long guns, and a knife with a black plastic handle.

In addition to two tactical vests, one camouflage green and the other black, each with two ballistic plates, two cheek pads, two helmets, one equipped with a digital camera, side lamp, and goggles; the other, black, has a night vision device on the front and a side lamp.

After being informed of his legal rights and being discharged from hospital, the detainee, along with the weapons allegedly seized, was brought before the Special Affairs Prosecutor’s Office (FAE) of the State of Mexico, where an investigation was initiated to determine his legal status.
