Addressing the Root Causes Yields Results
In Tabasco, homicides fell by 54%, kidnappings by 75%, and high-impact crimes by 18%. President Claudia Sheinbaum explained what was key in obtaining these results. “If we don’t address the root causes, it will be difficult to reduce insecurity,” she said.

Tourism That Connects and Generates Well-Being
Mexico has received 59.7 million visitors. Their spending exceeded US$21.74 billion and created 5.07 million jobs. This growth is accompanied by 140 new air routes, community-based tourism, and greater connectivity through the Mayan Train and the Interoceanic Corridor.

More Jobs and Labor Rights
The President highlighted the creation of more than one million jobs in a year: “The Mexican economy is doing well. Jobs are being created, and there is investment,” she noted. In addition, nearly one million digital platform workers were enrolled in the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS).

The World Cup Boosts Tourism and Employment
The World Cup attracted 7.3 million visitors to the host cities and generated tourism revenue of nearly US$2.9 billion. In the three host cities, tourism-related revenue grew by more than 40%, alongside the formalization of digital platform employment.

Ayotzinapa: New Lines of Investigation
Sheinbaum announced that new developments will be reported on September 28, including phone analyses, searches, arrests, and scientific evidence. “The parents of the 43 missing Ayotzinapa students are kept fully informed,” she stated.
