Throughout Mexico, Morena militants are organizing territorial power so that citizens can participate and control decisions.
The Secretary of the Interior was clear in asking legislators to continue working in accordance with the pillars of the movement founded by AMLO.
The task of the Fourth Transformation and the Mexican people is to maintain popular protagonism, permanently building democratic elements to organize the economy as processes of economic deglobalization begin or deepen.
The establishment of Morena’s Sectional Committees for the Defense of the Transformation is promising, but internal rules continue to restrict fundamental rights, potentially turning the committees into mere instruments of mobilization without political representation.
Areas of concern included extending national councilor terms for two years, unelected National Executive Committees, INFP head being in office 7 years, & interference in internal democratic functioning from the party center.

The Morena members identified a number of issues, such as state leaders and municipal executive committees seeking to remain in office after their term expires, lack of clarity regarding the membership registry, and an internal democratic deficit that leads to self-censorship and disenchantment.
The continuation of Mexico’s Fourth Transformation depends on what AMLO refered to as the revolution of consciences, in which political education plays a key role.
